A Cork tree in my Gallery - Um sobreiro na minha galeria

I have a cork tree in my gallery!
Last Saturday was inaugurated here, on 9ocre Gallery, the draft of Marco Fidalgo titled "I love you."
This project began last summer when he participated in artist residency Association's "Oficinas do Convento”. Marco Fidalgo introduced me to a text where I take some notes which describe his experience in June, during his residence in this city: "Initially this project was born (like almost all my projects), without a title. From a set of targets related to the matter cork, with a view to artistic research and involving a traditional context. Now, after a time lived in Montemor and rescuing from the cork the allegory of this time, the project is entitled "I love you." The results present the first stage of a gradual process, one could guess extend for nine years, the time it takes to grow a new cork to be withdrawn. However I understand that images and articles submitted may now already be interpreted as reflections of where you want to return, like a game of mirrors, the poetics of time that briefly made me belong to him. "
Here is the registration of the assembly of cork planks, Drawings and Video.

That is so interesting!! It reminds me of a friends house in Germany, across the street from my Tante. She literally had a tree trunk growing through her house, straight up in the living room. .I think they must of built the house around it.
That sounds easier to build a house around a tree rather than assemble a 3D tree puzzle inside a space! Kudos to you!
