Landscape lines - Microarte

 Landscape lines

Landscape lines - Dating at Cork oak forest.

Manuel Casa Branca (Portugal) and Rob Miller (England) are two painters who have been exploring the landscape of the Alentejo and Ribatejo since 2009. The central hubs of the exploration are Montemor-o-Novo (Alentejo) and the Estate of Gavião in Chamusca (Ribatejo). The Cork Oak (Quercus suber, sp.) is the tree that sets the mood for painting both plein air and in the studio. Every year the two painters lead a plein air workshop for painters of any level at Gaviao. The international workshops runs over a weekend of excited and varied work in great forest locations, joining Portuguese and other foreign painters. This resulted in this challenge by Microarte, a show that brings together drawings and paintings, where the cork oak and the landscape set the pace.
To them joins the excellent work of sculpture of Filipe Curado (Portugal).

Landscape lines – Encontros no Montado.
